Burushaski Alif-Baa is a primer written in the Perso-Arabic orthography of the Burushaski language, developed and recommended by Burusho Ma?raka, Gilgit Baltistan. The primer starts with an introduction to the Burushaski language, followed by the orthography illustrated with a mix of hand-drawn pictures of Mohiuddin from Hunza. Dr. Moeezuddin Hakalb has briefly introduced the development of Burushaski orthography. Muhammad Wazir Shafi, President of the Burushaski, has included his acknowledgment note at the end. The book was designed by Quwat Khan Sunny.The purpose of this booklet is to foster literacy about the Burushaski language and to encourage the younger generation to write in their own language. This is the first-ever publication supported by all three Burushaski variants, published under Burusho Ma?raka, with support from the burusho community and facilitation by the Foreign Language Institute (FLI), Islamabad, Pakistan.
