"Svaboda" was the only mass media outlet to which Bykau never refused to grant an interview. The tome also includes reports and commentaries gathered by Svaboda correspondents which illustrate how Bykau was perceived by government authorities and by the Belarusian people - both in life and during the mournful days following his death. This newly released volume also contains the writer's memoirs. "Liberty Library" is a collection of volumes consisting of selected reports of the Belarusian service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
