He has powers and abilities that make him virtually invisible. He can sense and feel when people are within close proximity. It is one of his many gifts, and, it allows him to move about, anywhere, undetected. Life though, has a brutal way of sometimes educating us. Unfortunately for Malefic, it would seem, that many of his life lessons would have to be learned the hard way. Betrayal and death await Malefic at every turn.
