More DescriptionImages or ideas known as archetypes have a common meaning across all cultures. These may manifest in literature, art, religion, or dreams. This explains why symbols from various cultures and eras frequently resemble one another.
He thought they all descended from archetypes that the entire human species had in common over the course of evolution. He claimed that the human psyche is built on our evolutionary past, which shapes our conduct today.
Although Jung claimed to have recognized several of these archetypes, he really focused on only four of them.
The persona is the first of these (mask). This is how we appear to the outside world. According to Jung, this conceals our true selves and represents the conformity archetype. This is the public persona we present to our friends, coworkers, superiors, the community, and occasionally even our family. We are not actually like this.
The anima/animus was the second thing he recognized. This is the end result of our biological sex being reflected. Well, the mirror's opposite reflection.
