More DescriptionAn ecology lab in a small Southern University is bombed by an unknown radical sect called the Nature Syndicate. Frank Love, the resident mollusk counter is the sole survivor and the only remaining target. His only clue is the contents of an encrypted memory stick given to him for safekeeping. Frank is determined to unravel the mystery behind explosion and find those responsible. But who are they?
Edgefield, South Carolina... Karen rolled down the window of the big blue car, "How long can we keep this up?"
Frank scanned the blank highway before him. "We've been lucky."
They rumbled out to the highway, found SC 25 and turned south towards Augusta. Frank pushed down hard on the beast. The hemi moaned as she sucked in the cool morning air. The big blue car tore through sheets of steam rising from the wet blacktop.
"We can get away from all this," said Karen. "A fast car. Two hundred gallons of gas in that moonshine tank in the back. That's enough to get us all the way to California. We can leave all this behind."
Frank's knuckles stretched white over the wheel, "That still can be, but first there is the business at hand."
"You never talk about Tina."
"That doesn't mean I don't think about her."
"I'm not Tina, I won't try to replace her."
Frank's face hardened in the yellow light of the rising sun, "I will find them. Every one of them. They will pay for what they've done."
