After they return to Paris, Muriel comes of age and grows into a vivacious and popular young woman curious about the world and the people she meets. At the same time, Jerry Bessinger is a handsome young American chemist who is visiting Paris and is preparing to return home to New York the next day. He stops inside the American Express office to get his mail. When the two meet, it's love at first site.
