Chaque is a novella/series of interconnected short stories set in the Sapien Overlords universe. It all started with a short story about a future dystopian city with class differences based on race, but soon developed into a whole universe of possibilities. The later stories follow Chaque, the main character, on his voyage of self-discovery as he takes an unwilling journey through the Zzone, a megacity of the future. He travels from the uppermost levels to the fringes and beyond, encountering new challenges and realizing that the world is a more complex place than he originally thought. Each story offers a unique perspective on the world of Sapien Overlords, building upon the themes of the previous stories and adding new layers of depth to the universe.
