More DescriptionChinte is an often underestimated kata in terms of its application. It contains numerous techniques based on the Chinese Chin Na. Chinte has combinations and hand forms that are rarely found in other kata. The kata therefore fully lives up to its name "Rare Hand". Channan, a Chinese master from Annan Fuzhou, brought the kata to Okinawa around 1850. He passed on Kata Chinte, Chinto (later in Shotokan Gangaku) and Jitte to different Okinawa masters respectively. The book is intended to give the reader deeper access to the applications (bunkai) of the kata and to enable him to deal with the subject critically. The content of the bunkai presented goes beyond the usual level. Over 570 illustrations, most of them in full colour, are intended to facilitate the concept of the bunkai. For didactic reasons, the scenes of the applications were animated with new types of three-dimensional graphic figures. This makes it easier to understand the details of the combinations and gives the reader a better understanding of the Kyusho techniques in particular. Special emphasis was placed on applications that are as realistic as possible.
