More DescriptionIntroductionHistory is the past and we should always remember and preserve it. You cannot erase history, if you do. It can repeat itself. I say let most everything stay put. We all have the Right to remember our history, including Southern Whites. Slavery is a part of mankind history. We know that and that's nothing to be ashamed of. Read the Bible about Slavery. Should the Bible be destroyed because it condoned Slavery? Of course not, that was the way times were in the past.People has always had Wars between each other and probably will until the end of time. Man can end that by coming together and resolving differences and living side by side together in peace. Instead of nick-picking about the Civil War Monuments on exhibit in public place, Black should be proud that Anglo-Saxon fought a bloody Civil War for more that four years to keep our Nation together as one Union. Thank God, the North and Abraham Lincoln for giving his life by ending Slavery and giving Blacks their freedom. What other Country could a Black man live in and enjoy all the freedoms they enjoy today? Africa, China, England, France, India or Russia? I don't think so, because they have their own problems and they don't need Blacks adding to them. You young Blacks shut up and start asking what can I do to make America great again. We helped build this Country, so be proud you were born in the United States of America.I was born in Overton, Texas in 1939 under Jim Crow oppression. My mother died when I was only eleven years old. I was bless for never getting caught doing minor crimes that could have changed the outcome of my life forever. I guess God looked out for me. Also, I had a mind to want to work. I volunteered for the U. S. Navy and was discharged after 6 years with a honorable discharge. I lived through discrimination and I overcame it. I am not bitter at all.Stop the blame and Pity game. Obey the rules and trust no one. Look in the mirror at yourself, only you can change yourself to be a productive citizen. Trust in God. Don't blame God because he gave you a free will. Stop the petty nick-picking about everything that's Political. Its another way to make other people hate you and keep us divided.Therlee Gipson
