Dirk Cussler has an MBA from Berkeley College. He worked for many years in the financial arena before becoming a full-time writer. He is the coauthor with his father Clive Cussler of the Dirk Pitt series starting with the title Black Wind. He has served as president of the NUMA advisory board of trustees.
