Left to themselves, humans will not find a way to solve their enormous problems nor correct the catastrophic direction they've given to the affairs of this Earth. They will need a firm and superintelligent hand. But since help cannot come these days from gods or any religious belief humans would fight about, it will have to come from technology. From machines that we cannot control and use to serve our greedy and dangerous ends. Intelligent machines, sophisticated and independent enough to, on the contrary, impose their solutions after thinking our problems through and making us do the good we were unable of.

Power to the machines. When I started to consider this idea, it sounded too crazy to entertain, let alone divulge. Then it turned into banal and exhausted, intelligent machines' computing talent overblown perhaps. Now I believe it's our only chance.
