Daniel B. Baker is the author of Political Quotations: A Collection of Notable Sayings on Politics from Antiquity Through 1989 and Power Quotes. Both of these books collect notable or otherwise humorous, poignant, appropriate, or educational quotations. Baker is president of Quotient Research and is active in the political arena.
Baker is also the author of Cracking the Corporate Closet: The 200 Best (And Worst) Companies to Work For, Buy From, and Invest in If You're Gay or Lesbian-And Even If You Aren't. This book gathers various policies, attitudes, and treatment toward gays and lesbians in some of America's largest companies. Baker has been particularly active in gay civil rights and has served as treasurer for ACT UP/NY and as Executive Director of the Gay Games.
