More DescriptionClinging to the shore like a barnacle on the side of a ship, lies the city of Havdhir: a melting pot of races, cultures, creatures, and more! Grifters work as a guild, stealing wares and reselling them in the market district. The poor seek cures for the horrid diseases that assail Barnacle Barrows. Ruffians wrestle with animated tentacles in half-sunken bars. Prisoners languish in a subterranean prison that has become a city all its own. Meanwhile, to the north, the vampires of the Darklands of Vlaskhell weather the summer months in their frozen city of Mornhaven, subsisting off of prisoners that are shipped from the city of Havdhir as part of a tentative alliance. To the south, the land of Ardhos is assailed by roving bands of orcs and goblins. However, darker things -undead creatures-stir in the depths of the Lost Mines of Shjekhel, tied to the curse of the Usurper, which has been passed down through the generations. This supplement introduces the port town of Havdhir (an area designed for character exploration) with fleshed-out shops, shopkeepers with personality, cunning thieves, desperate poor-folk, corrupt officials, and more! Havdhir serves as a sandbox of small adventures as the characters remove the curse of the Usurper and gain a reputation for themselves. The characters will have to travel far beyond the city of Havdhir, exploring the frozen Darklands of Vlaskhell (populated by vampires and other creatures of the dark and cold) and eventually traverse the region of Ardhos to arrive at the lost mines of Shjekhel. These once-splendid mines are now overrun with undead creatures, monsters of the deep, and the dreaded Usurper himself. This book serves as a three-part adventure, taking the characters through the regions of the world and from 1st- to 15th-level. Grab your satchel, take up your sword, your bow, your wand, and prepare yourself for untold adventures in The Curse of the Usurper.
