More DescriptionWhere's the best barbeque? You've asked that question before haven't you? We've all gotten that urge to hop in the car and go, or gone on a trip and the lure of barbeque proves too much. We all have an Uncle Joe who has the best sauce and the best ribs using secret ingredients we'll never find out in our lifetime. And everyone has their favorite barbeque joint.I work at a special ed school in the suburbs of Minneapolis and in the horseshoe we argued, debated, and fussed about barbeque all school year long. But our egos got in the way. Family traditions rose to the surface. Each gave the other a barbeque version of the figure four leg-lock. Each dissed the other's favorite barbeque place. They were right and the other was wrong. I warned them, I surely did. It wasn't an idle threat. I would go on a trip and settle the question. So that's what I did! I went in search for the perfect barbeque. But that was just the beginning. Along the way things happened. People happened. And curveballs came flying my way. This is my story. The journey more than the destination.
