Dad's Life Hacks: Thoughts, Musings, and Inspirations
I am not a writer, nor much of a storyteller. I am not a celebrity, famous in some other way, or a billionaire. I am not a member of the Mensa Society or in any athletic hall of fame. I do not have a master's degree, a Ph.D., or an outsized liquidity event to speak of prior to age thirty.
But I have a story to tell about an average person who has made the best of what life has to offer--one that may be of interest to this and future generations.
This book is not intended to be a New York Times bestseller, but simply a labor of love--a collection of the thoughts and wisdom I've accumulated in my reading and learning, and through my life experiences. Maybe it will inspire even just one person to take that chance they have been considering in life or business--and be the happier for doing so.
From the book:
"I believe that we all are in control of our thoughts and ultimately the direction that we head in life. And while I think there are useful nuggets in each of the chapters within this book, I also think it is our ability to communicate effectively that is key to navigating towards success in life. Effective communication and maintaining a positive outlook, combined with an appreciation for what you have and building healthy relationships, will lead you to a fulfilled and happy life."
"Attitude and optimism are choices. If you are lucky enough to find yourself in situations where it seems clear you can benefit from a positive attitude, adopt one! Do not be afraid to take the leap. Optimistic people tend to lead longer, happier, and more successful lives and tend to recover from disappointments sooner. Plus, pessimists suck!"
