More DescriptionDr. Ron Hudson, a respected hypnotherapist working in criminal rehabilitation, takes a sidetrack and begins an experiment in the paranormal. The result, the manifestation of a supernatural creature who calls himself, Egosson. They are connected in such a way that only Ron can see and hear him. His purpose: "I exist, but to serve."Ron is at first baffled, then later simply hesitant to trust the strange entity, who demonstrates poltergeist abilities but is very loathe to reveal his origins. During a visit to a criminal ward, his patient gives Ron a disturbing, nebulous warning: "We are only as sick as our secrets." But Ron doesn't understand the meaning. In time, the socially awkward therapist is won over and follows Egosson down a sordid path which begins with a barroom pick up and continues with the fulfillment of an erotic fantasy. As his social life seems to blossom, his personal life takes a rocky turn; he becomes a suspect in a homicide investigation and the target of Russian mobsters. In addition, Ron is plagued by haunting dreams that he later cannot clearly recall. Eventually, he learns the truth behind Egosson's origins; a secret more terrifying than the creature's power and all the mobsters combined.
