We hope that the new name (and acronym) will be more attractive and reflect a more modern perspective - although the content itself has not changed dramatically in the sense, that we still aim at organizing an interesting and modern conference related to all aspects of data science, e.g., data mining, machine learning, big data. We are the same organization team as in the past for DMIN, and we have the same processes.
