More DescriptionThe country is in a downward spiral. Spending is out of control and bigger and more expensive programs are still to come. The president and his party control both houses of Congress and seem to be on a collision course with infamy. Meanwhile, a small group of states, along with one of the Canadian provinces, are secretly meeting in an old New England Resort, and there is talk of secession. Separately, Texas and Alaska are already on the brink of declaring their independence from the United States.Unbeknownst to the president, two agents have been dispatched to the meeting by a super-secret agency within the Pentagon. Their mission at first is solely to gather information. They quickly discover however, that the president has a plan of his own, and is willing to do just about anything to avoid the dissolution of the union under his watch. The pair soon finds themselves caught up in a whirlwind of espionage and murder-for-hire, while democracy hangs in the balance.
