More DescriptionDespite Myself is a book with a Christian theme, meant to entertain Christians and maybe lead someone to Chris. It talks about men's struggle with dating as they get older and their sexual health problems that men must endure secretly during their life. The lead characters are Chris, a backslidden Christian, and Danielle, a prostitute. Chris reminisces throughout the book about the women he has dated over the years, between marriages who were members of a church, but did not have true faith. They thought a person was a Christian just because they were members of a church, but were never actually saved from the very beginning. A few of them he leads to Christ despite his faults and sexual mishaps along the way. After fruitless dating for a few years, Chris decides to hire a prostitute. He meets a prostitute off the internet. Throughout the book, he reflects on the women of his past, which usually turned into a comedy of errors. His teen sex life turns strange when his best friend sells him his sister for $30. Later he finds out that her brother has been having her for free! Further on in the book he leads Danielle to Christ while she is in the hospital for a drug overdose. She dies in the middle night. He is so distraught, he goes home and commits suicide. He wakes up to see Danielle with two angels. She takes him by the hand to guide him to heaven.
