Lawrence E. Larson holds an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, an M. Eng. and B.S. in electrical engineering from Cornell University, New York.

Larson is director of the Center for Wireless Communications at the University of California, San Diego and past CWC Industry Chair Professor in Wireless Communications, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. A Fellow of the IEEE, he has conducted numerous research and development projects at Hughes Research Laboratories and Hughes Network Systems.
