More DescriptionThe convenience of the internet has led to the closure of urban life. Young people have less and less needfor proximity leading to a sharp decline in the perception of proximity as wel. In terms of a spiritual society, the disappearance of proximity and the disconnection of the middle layer, this problem is not only Chinese but global. Modern society has lost the life of the neighbourhood, and some people who are neither so strange nor so close are silently disappearing around us. I have made a book about these people by compar-ing my recent documentary photography of the neighbourhood with the present. The book is made up of maps and coordinates to show where they used to be in my neighbourhood, abstracted lines are extracted to make a font of their images, and the use of sulphuric acid paper in the book represents the blurred percep- tion of the neighbourhood. Through this project I wanted to call attention to the reality of life and reflect on this phenomenon.
