Dima and Miya are on a mission to put an end to poverty by sharing the good news of their deity's, Ritu's, sacrifice and promises. They believe that spreading Ritu's story and upholding Ritu's laws as officers, will inspire people to adopt the lives of virtue necessary to overcome any obstacle. Though, when their virtues guide them away from Ritu's laws, they come to face the reality where both in poverty and in wealth, virtues are punished, vices are rewarded, and where they were upholders of morality, they have actually been contributors towards a system of slavery.Now they must work with an impoverished family in an attempt to escape, let alone survive, the slums of the city where floating land masses obscure the sun.
