Isadore Rosenfeld was born Ezra Rosenfeld in Montreal, Canada on September 7, 1926. He received a bachelor of science degree and a medical degree from McGill University in Montreal. He was a cardiologist and general practitioner until his retirement in 2011. He also was the health editor of Parade magazine, taught clinical medicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College, and hosted the Fox News health program Sunday Housecall with Dr. Rosenfeld.
He wrote more than a dozen books including Modern Prevention: The New Medicine, The Best Treatment, Dr. Rosenfeld's Guide to Alternative Medicine, Live Now, Age Later: Proven Ways to Slow Down the Clock, and Doctor of the Heart: My Life in Medicine. He died from complications of the flu on January 30, 2018 at the age of 91.
