More DescriptionSet beside an arcane lake in Australia, this ghostly tension filled gothic mystery tells of an artist, Diana and her husband Mark, and their chilling and terrifying encounters with their neighbours. Firstly, they meet Christos, a religious zealot who owns an impoverished farm next to theirs. His wife, a strange, fey woman, Ariadne, whose relationship to her husband is based on a dependency of violence and rebellion. Kyle, another neighbour, is an eccentric herbalist and alchemist, charismatic and charming. He has a passion to find the 'herb of life' or Dragon's Pearl that he feels may be found by the lake. It isn't long before Diana and Mark are under his spell.Near the lake stands a dead tree, where a child drowned and a woman committed suicide. Diana discovers a weird luminescent plant under this tree. She shows Kyle this exotic fungus and he is convinced they have discovered his Dragon's Pearl. As they experiment with the herb, dank mists fill the landscape and the lake shrinks back on itself. Ghosts and accidents occur. Passions are unleashed. Disaster follows Diana as the lake retreats. Horror and murder walk in the terrifying mists of dragon breath.
