The Koln Concerts by Keith Jarrett remains one of the top selling jazz albums in history. In 1984, Eicher introduced the ECM New Series as an avenue to release a great catalog of Western Classical recordings. The series was created for the debut recording for the incredible genies of Arvo Pärt.
