It critically reviews the state of knowledge on men and masculinities, focusing on the different situations in fourteen countries across Eastern, Central and Western Europe. In particular, it focuses on the implications of rapid and substantial social change, the EU and Europeanisation, globalization, and new post-socialist configurations of Europe for the construction of men, masculinities and men's practices.
