Fairbourne is a long and extensive beach adjacent to Cardigan Bay. Looking North along its length is the beautiful Welsh seaside and harbour town of Barmouth which is overlooked by the massive 'Cadair Idris' mountain range. Located in the county of Gwynedd, it is easily accessed by the A496, off the popular A470. The book contains 82 pictures, many portraying spectacular background mountain views across the 'Afon Mawddack' estuary, which is fed by 'Cardigan Bay'. Numerous different types of small boats and sailing vessels are moored in the considerable harbour area. Uniquely, a railway passes beside the harbour, transporting trains across the long and fascinating bridge that spans this tidal estuary. Both beaches are expansive and very enjoyable to explore, as the tide regularly travels far out.
