The "Family Corley" narrative had it's beginning in my desire to determine the roots of our family and the insistence by my wife and daughters that the information be recorded along with some factual history of the family activities. It was my intent to write only part one. I had no desire to write an autobiography. It is unfortunate that the teller of the tale, in so many instances, infuses the story with his presence. If my desire is herewith fulfilled, my daughters and their descendants will have the information about their ancestry that would surely have been lost to time. To those of you who may read these words and were a part of the story that made the words possible, I apologize for any inaccuracies of detail caused by an inept memory of happenings so many years past. Sisters, brothers and on occasion "Wee Ones" have made immense contributions in bridging my memory gaps; for that I am grateful. "En Finale", I would be ever honored if these lines brought Laura and Oscar alive, in the minds of those who knew them and those who did not, forever in the thoughts of the "Family Corley"
