That is why I've written this book: I was also struck by the fact that I had gathered information that isn't readily available to all cancer patients. If any of my friends or family members were diagnosed with cancer, I'd want them to know that they had choices to make surrounding their treatment - that they could and should take an active role in their treatment plan.
