More DescriptionFLOWERS FOR DYING - is a book about revenge.A young black Premiership footballer is shot dead in broad daylight on a South London housing estate, Detective Chief Inspector Charlie Miskin who is put in charge of the investigation is baffled. The only clue is some flowers sent anonymously to the victim before his death.A few weeks later two more footballers are murdered in Yorkshire and the killer, christened 'The Sniper' by the media, is linked to the killings by once again delivering flowers to the victims. With the pressure building on the investigating team as the case goes nationwide another victim is found dead in Gateshead. This leads to Jimmy Dunn an Accrington Stanley full back, stepping out of the shadows and requesting police protection fearing that he may be the next victim of 'The Sniper'.He reveals to the police that he and a group of six friends from a South London boys football club, carried out a brutal sex attack many years ago, and he now fears that someone is out to avenge that assault. 'The Sniper' has all the hallmarks of a professional assassin and the police are struggling to gather any meaningful clues as to where this mysterious figure has come from and what connection he has to that dark night many years ago. DCI Charlie Miskin then embarks on a race against time to find the remaining two men before the killer does. The 'Sniper' is a cool and calculating character and his determination to finish what he has started can only mean one thing, a spectacular and bloody climax unless DCI Miskin can stop him.
