Burt Chayson, political fixer and local conduit between the legitimate and illegitimate worlds of the Twin Cities has been found dead in his car. The hose from his exhaust to the interior of the car make it look like an apparent suicide. A closer examination reveals Burt had help committing suicide making his death a homicide.
Hope Slade, the beautiful head of a clandestine club of bored housewives turned prostitutes, ex-NFL cheerleaders, having driven the drunken Burt Chayson home that evening, is accused of his murder. Hope goes to Marc Kadella to represent her insisting she is innocent and was set up. Marc and his gang of usual suspects dedicate themselves to Hope's case. Led by the beautiful, dangerous and dedicated Maddy Rivers, they come up with a multiple list of SODDI candidates, for the title Some Other Dude Did It to manufacture reasonable doubt.
