More DescriptionFrog In My Pocket is a music instruction eBook for late elementary pianists ages 10 and up who are seeking to learn the basics of jazz and improvisation. The eBook is the first release in the Jazz Piano ABCs series.Referred to as a "Guidebook," Frog In My Pocket includes a sixteen-bar tune whose harmonies are representative of a standard set of jazz chord progressions called rhythm changes. Students and teachers are guided through a four-step process to learn the tune, jazz up the melody, improvise a solo, and perform the piece. To aid in the learning process, Frog In My Pocket includes 97 audio tracks that accompany students and demonstrate a good jazz feel. In addition, the Guidebook also includes a student study guide and videos that demonstrate the material being used with students during lessons.Frog In My Pocket is available in a digital format called an interactive PDF and is compatible with all computers, phones, and tablets. Users can engage with the elements of a traditional printed book - text, sheet music, graphics, and illustrations - and also interactive ones. When used with a WiFi connection, the companion audio tracks and videos may be played through active hyperlinks within the Guidebook. Some users may find it most convenient to utilize the Guidebook as a hybrid digital/print book, where the interactive video and audio elements are accessed using a phone, tablet, or computer, while the sheet music and student study guides may be printed for use at the piano. The eBook can also be used exclusively in its digital format.Frog In My Pocket - and the entire Jazz Piano ABCs series - is designed to be used by traditional classically-trained piano teachers as well as teachers who have jazz backgrounds, and it can be utilized for individual or group lessons. The series may also be used by teens and adults who are studying piano independently.
