He has reached great success on the country single and album charts. He has achieved the status of best-selling solo album artist in the U.S. with over 148 million units sold. His albums that have reached diamond status are: Garth Brooks, No Fenses, Ropin' the Wind, The Hits, Sevens, Double Live, and The Ultimate Hits. He has won 2 Grammy Awards, 17 American Music Awards and the RIAA Award for best-selling solo albums artist of the century in the U.S. In 2017 he released his book, The Anthology Part 1, which focuses on his first five years writing and performing his music.
