Georgia is a collection of family stories by Georgia Raven Rosborough, a centenarian who is a gifted natural storyteller. In the centuries old tradition of African griots charged with keeping the oral history of their tribe, Rosborough preserved and verbally shared the rich history of her life stories to entertain and inform family and friends.Rosborough was a farm girl who was only allowed to complete a 7th grade education even though she was valedictorian of her class. Despite this disadvantage, she raised 12 children, all educated and some earned college degrees. She also bonded with Wiley College students due to hosting many of them in her home. These are the humorous, hearbreaking, and triumphant experiences of one woman blessed to personally witness 100 years on Earth. Rosborough's 12 children contribute their own words, expanding on their mother's stories. This book commemorates her first 100 years on earth.
