At 19, She gave birth to a baby with congenital defects. Using natural ingredients, and a non-chemical based treatment that slowed her heart rate (digitalis), the disorder was gone by the age of four - the medical community called it "a miracle." For over 50 years, she has been growing her own natural ingredients and fasting since 1976, leaving behind a meat diet in 1979. She also takes no medications, relying on food as her medicine. She provides equine therapy and water treatments to marginalized children in an indigenous village, and is completing her Doctorate in Special Education, Bilingual Education, and Socio-Cultural Studies. In Central Mexico, she volunteers as an English teacher at a grade school, teaching her students the benefits of a vegan lifestyle and raw, natural foods as an affordable alternative to toxic medications. At 66 years old, her weight and overall health are better than they were at 15. She loves writing about natural health and wellness options that are "on a budget" for any age.
