More DescriptionIt is a good thing René and I do not plan each second of every day. Our plans are broad and are not etched in stone -- except when we have tickets in hand which is, I will admit, quite often.I could interpret having tickets as solid plans. I will not. Tickets are mere signs pointing us to new horizons. We do choose most signs. We do not choose the myriad of opportunities around those signs. We allow ourselves to be surprised. In these pages, I find we are always planning to extend our out- put. Why this is, is anyone's guess. In these pages, I speak of retiring -- and, of course, working. Our work is linked to our minds. Both are nonstop engines. Even when resting, our minds are morphing ideas. It constantly surprises us how a final result is completely different from the original thought. We appreciate the conceptual change. Our current days are filled with Smiles. The simplest example of anything at all creates a smile. Whether small, or broad, a smile is a Smile. We travel miles and miles sharing a Smile.Satisfaction has a power like no other emotion.Satisfaction is conjoined with patience.I will admit my patience can be confused by one of Life's naturalhiccups. I regulate patience with understanding.I do understand I am a person whose mind is constantly travelling. I just found out that a doctor has found my mind to be "grossly normal." You can imagine my surprise to find out this is a common report. "Grossly normal." Phew!Actually, the Life René and I have is subdued. We do not fret. We do not ache. We enjoy all that is around us -- especially, each other. If, perchance, we are tossed a "hiccup," we know we have the sup- port of someone we trust.I do not enjoy making People worry. Worry can be needless and is not always good for one's total health. I keep many of our hiccups to ourselves as I know they are blips on Life's screen. Those who read my Zwerglipatch Diaries will discover I do share most of our blips. These hiccups can be followed to their conclusions; and, each does have a conclusion. The reader will also see how lucky we are to have few "blips." Yes, JWGrum hardly has any hiccups. Those we do have are treated instantly. We refuse to languish in discomfort.Smiling at topsy-turvy hiccups may be inexplicable. It is our nature to see humor. (Yes, those who know me will, instantly, think of my penchant to be macabre. But, can't the macabre be comic?) Hu- mor is the wind of change. A Smile is the catalyst of the tiniest breeze. There may be many hiccups on this topsy-turvy Planet to seemingly quell Smiles. We won't allow that to take over our Lives. It is impossible to smile and hiccup at the same moment. Yet, within each moment, there is the chance to Smile.
