English summary: The rivalry between painting and sculpture, known as the Paragone, is a well-known topos of Renaissance art. This study explores the visual aspects of the rivalry, analyzing works from the fifteenth and sixteenth century that clearly reference it. The second half of the study explains that the Paragone transformed from a competitive to constructive comparison over the course of the seventeenth century. French description: La comparaison competitive entre peinture et sculpture, definie aujourd' hui comme le Paragone, est un topos bien connu de la theorie de l' art de la Renaissance. La presente publication est destinee a explorer une autre face de ce debat, son aspect visuel. Le but est d' identifier, d' organiser et d' analyser les peintures et les sculptures produites en Italie des la fin du XVe siecle et tout au long du XVIe siecle qui abordent clairement des problemes lies au debat paragonien. La deuxieme partie de l'ouvrage s' efforce de dechiffrer pourquoi le Paragone visuel semble moins apparent dans l' art du XVIIe siecle. L' hypothese exploree se fonde sur la supposition que la comparaison competitive se transforme en une comparaison constructive entre les arts jadis rivaux.
