More DescriptionUsing a new and proven model of recovery, MK Bashlor shows you how you can get rid of undesired behaviors in order to start pursuing the Godly Christian lifestyle you truly desire! By incorporating timeless truths from the Bible, the author walks you through specific steps so you can be free from the bondage of addiction once and for all.
Read this book to help yourself or someone you love who is suffering from an addiction which seems to be out of their control! As a person in recovery, learn to:
- Overcome even the toughest of addictions by learning to believe in your ultimate potential.
- Discover that you are a unique and special person, created by God, with so much to offer. You therefore needn't waste time on fruitless habits that work against your ultimate goals.
- Find peace in "owning" your self and standing behind your own decisions.
- Discover ways to give yourself helpful guidance, with the help of the Holy Spirit.
- Learn to relax knowing you are not subject to higher expectations than you are able to achieve, and are completely accepted by God just as you are, even if you never improve anything.
- Find the strength and motivation to accomplish anything you want to.
- Learn to support and believe in yourself, the way God does!
There are 2 "persons" in each one of us battling for control. These 2 sides of the self must learn to work together for the betterment of the over all person. This relationship which each one has with his or her own self, must be built on trust, otherwise an unhealthy battle with ensue. This is how addictions come about, which "feel" good and satisfactory in the "Immediate Self," but in actuality work against the goals of the "Ultimate Self." The "Immediate Self," needs to trust the wiser decisions made from the "Place of Strength" within the "Ultimate Self." The "Ultimate Self" in turn must accept and forgive the more childish decisions made by the "Immediate Self." It is always in the "Immediate Self" that the problems, the addictions, the emotional lows, and the impulsive decisions occur. With the help of the Holy Spirit, this model of recovery is proven to bring about positive change.

Karen Hedges 5.0 out of 5 stars "I was drawn in right from the get go in this book! Most times when I start reading a book I seem to get bored and never finish...this one will get finished. I love the way the author has with words...easy to understand no twisting going on here making one figure out what is being said. In my quest to be a good Christian this will help along the way. If you get the chance take a look see inside the book you will see what I am talking about."
