According to our local police, and the private investigator who was involved he was very skilled at what he did. For over five weeks, I was 'courted, via the web. I opened my heart to someone who was setting me up to be scammed. he was believable down to the very last minute that he wasn't!As a writer, I knew putting it all down on paper would help heal my heart.Can you imagine thinking you were going to spend the last chapter of your life with someone and then realizing they were a completely different person and a criminal to boot? The memories haunted me. I knew I had to share my experience so others could avoid the fear, the sleepless nights, and the PTSD I experienced.
