More DescriptionParanormal adult romance novel. "A small village in the Scottish Highlands is sent into turmoil when they are notified they are to be fenced in, along with a pack of wild wolves. To monitor the situation and help the village adjust a warden and a scientist arrive and begin their work. Shortly afterwards, a family join them, and their job was to build and maintain the fence that has everyone so worried. Eventually, the village accepts the family and the two young men; after all, the situation is not any of their doing. This situation is down to the mysterious Mr Cooper, who a few years prior had bought up all the land in the area. A man whom they still have not met. Let alone know anything about, other than his name. They do not even know for sure where he lives or works, let alone how he had made his money; or what he looked like in the flesh. After a rutting stag had badly hurt a family, their opinion had changed, and they had begun to think that the wolves might not be such a bad idea. When the wolves finally arrive and are then released, they find that no Humans nor livestock are hurt or killed. The wolves seem to prefer venison so hunt and kill only the deer that roam the moors around the area. This changes when the warden and scientist suddenly vanish without a trace but for a single short note saying, "They were working away for a while." No one believed this, and once again the people were sent into a panic and blamed the wolves. Only one person disagrees, refusing to believe that they harmed them out of the blue like this when they had kept away from people since arriving.Tensions are once again on high alert when a group of young American men arrive unexpectedly. They had been brought in as they used to work with the pack back in the US. This time the village do not take to the men, especially when they ran two of the villages young women out of their camp telling them, "To never set foot back there again."One of these women, who were part of the family brought in to monitor the fence, came to the village with significant baggage. Sadly, it seems that said baggage, the ex-husband, has now followed her there and he becomes disliked. When she too goes missing one night, presumably taken by her ex-husband, everyone begins searching. Fear of the wolves then reaches panic levels when they find the body of the man torn to pieces, presumably by the wolves, at the foot of the local Tor and no trace of her can be found. What happened to the warden and scientist and what happened below the Tor?"Highland Alpha is book 1 in the Cooper's Pack series. Keep an eye out for book 2 coming soon...
