This is a novel based on very real events. Dan was a lucky surgeon. Like many doctors, he had mammon, companions, walked about with distinction, and led a cozy life. Everything he had ever carnally desired belonged to him. And yet, his world was about to get shaken up. Why? Well, his old friend Zola (a Hebrew who fell in love with the Israeli named Jesus) decided to share his faith with Dan the goy. Zola, as a result of his belief in the Jewish Messiah, ended up having an unpredictable income, did not enjoy knowing that employers ignored his resume, but did revel in the fact that he labored for his Lord. Zola got a hold of the biggest gift in the universe a man could get a hold of: peace with God, and that did not stop Zola from wanting to share that peace with Dan. In epistles to Dan, Zola spoke of how the Creator was not dead, how he was able to have conversations with him. At first, Dan was disgusted with Zola's enthusiasm. Dan could not believe that Zola was a changed man. Here is the tale of belief in the Prince of Peace versus doubt, and of one friend's determination to help an old buddy discover how to get a hold of eternal life.
