Huck Spaulding started tattooing in 1949 at the age of 21. He tattooed until about 1975 when he retired to work full time at his tattoo supply business, Spaulding & Rogers Mfg. Huck started Spaulding & Rogers in 1956, and by the 1980s, it was the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of tattoo supplies. This book contains photos of hundreds of Huck's hand cut acetate tattoo stencils and acetates from a few other tattoo artists produced from the 1930s up to the early 1970s.
