Geoffrey's boss, the Attorney General, told him to drop everything else he was working on and concentrate on finding this Brian, whoever he was, and bring him to justice. But when Geoffrey found Brian it wasn't the end of the web that Brian had weaved out of his computer frauds. Just knowing who Brian was didn't immediately stop the Implants from additional manipulations that defrauded people of millions of dollars.
In the end, even Geoffrey turned to using Implants to trap Brian. But was it soon enough?
