I studied film theory during my master's study in Humanity and despite not making it in the film industry as I had hoped, I still, watch and chat about everything I can get my hands on. During my brief stint working in the action film world in Bangkok Thailand, I experienced the language barrier simply melted away when my coworkers wanted to talk about films. When you are around movie people the only thing they really speak, from Hong Kong to Hollywood and Bollywood in between, is film. Arguing over directors, writers, and even actors' performances will unite people across cultural divides.
