Avery, Mark (Author)
Dr Mark Avery is a scientist, naturalist and wildlife campaigner. He worked for the RSPB for 25 years and was their Conservation Director for thirteen years. His books include Inglorious-Conflict in the Uplands, Fighting for Birds, A Message for Martha, and Behind the Binoculars - interviews with acclaimed birdwatchers. He writes a blog at Standing up for Nature. He has also written for magazines and newspapers and is a public speaker and environmental consultant.
