More DescriptionAs a young Greek student, I learned the genitive absolute by rote as have generations of Greek learners. After some struggle I understood only how to identify and translate these challenging constructions so that they made sense in a sentence, but from the beginning I asked myself why did the authors choose to do this? With their encouragement I have put together this work, the culmination of decades of thinking and study.
