As the last of the junk drawer was emptied out and the past surrounded Eleanor, she wondered how, with all her care and attentions, just how had she misplaced so many valuable things into the junk drawer of her life?

Into the Junk Drawer is comprised of a series of vignettes, the tones of which range between whimsical, melancholy, hopeful, spiritual, and satirical. Many of the stories are allegorical in nature, and/or feature magical realism to represent societal ideas.

Within this collection, you will find a story about a man whose skin changes colour in conjunction with his mood, that of a gardener who cultivates abstract values and struggles to control the growth of her family tree, one about a being who provides therapy for souls between their lifetimes, a tale of a woman reflecting back on her life as her health and memory begin to slip away with age, and much more!
