When Jack runs away from home his family is very hurt and confused, but they soon realize that Jack is crying out for help. His family goes on a city-wide search with the help of the Boston Police and his church and soon Jack is reunited with his family. Jack is then welcomed back into his family with open arms. Jack's parents along with the other adults in his life concentrate on letting Jack know how special and important he is to the world. Jack then shares his story with his classmates as a way of encouraging them to have good self-esteem and to build strong relationships with their families.
