The danger is real, but the massive efforts by the United States and its partner nations come under threat from a most unlikely source. The success of the scientific and political approach of the west is now in serious doubt as Drolma, questioning her own worthiness, struggles to groom Jamie to fulfill a thousand year old prophecy while convincing his terrified mother and grandfather that there is no other real course of action. From the sun bathed shores of Los Angeles to the White House, and on to the exotic cities of India and the snow packed mountains of Tibet, the story evolves from the scientific and geopolitical to a mystical world that might only be just a breath away.
