More DescriptionOne Mars colony, two Mars colonies? Three dead people in Jezero Crater where there shouldn't be anyone at all? What's going on? Almost all humans in the solar system live on Mars after the sun turned traitor and blasted Earth. Most are aware of how precarious their small numbers are but were some determined to prove themselves by exploring. The older generation had mostly relinquished their positions letting their children take over, until now. At least one murder had been done and whether all three were killed in the same puzzling manner wasn't clear. One of the dead, a scientist found by two young Horde members could not be identified and they called for help. The mummified corpse was mysterious to all who saw it not only in appearance but in origin. According to scanty First Landing colony records Dr. Slater shouldn't have been on Mars at all. He had been involved with the Musk Mars Colony program on Earth before the Russians arrived to set up their site but there was no record of him or the other dead being on Mars before the sun blasted Earth to pieces. Yet there he was, lying in the dust of Jezero very, very dead. Where did he come from and was his presence a threat? Isis, a child of original colonists decided to investigate. Part of what she found was a strange domed colony run by a rogue AI another part was a human seeming construct. The Musk computer was in charge of everything, no live humans were to be seen only dead ones stacked in cold storage. When she escaped what came with her would change her and so many others. Designed and built by the rogue AI the construct had a well defined purpose, he was programmed to kill all humans on Mars. There had to be a way to stop that but few had a clear idea how. When survival is at stake, all bets are off and anything is possible.
